This Privacy Policy explains how WANGKANG GHANA LIMITED ("we", "us", "the Company") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Goodwill GH mobile application ("the App"). The App is a business tool that connects Wangkang Ghana's ceramic tile business with its external partners — tilers, dealers, purchasers, and field auditors — supporting points redemption, sales recording, and installation verification. By using the App you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Full name (real name), phone number, and your home and work address — used to create and secure your account and to support sales and redemption operations. Sign-in uses a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your phone.
- Your role within the business (e.g. tiler, dealer, auditor).
- Content you submit — photos of tiles and installation sites, QR codes, and transaction details you enter when recording a sale or redemption.
Information collected automatically
- Precise location (GPS) — collected only at the moment you record a sale or confirm an installation, to verify the transaction actually took place at the real site and to help prevent fraud. The App requests location only while it is in use; it does not track your location in the background.
- Basic device information — such as device model and operating-system version, used to keep the App working correctly across devices.
We do not use any third-party advertising or analytics services, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create, secure, and operate your account;
- record sales, redemptions, and installations, and attribute them correctly;
- verify that transactions occur at genuine locations and prevent fraudulent or duplicate claims;
- process points redemption and related payouts; and
- provide customer support and comply with legal obligations.
3. Device permissions
The App asks for the following permissions; you may grant or deny each, though some features will not work without them:
- Camera — to scan QR codes for points redemption and to photograph tiles and installation sites as evidence.
- Photo library — to let you choose an existing image to upload, scan a QR code saved in your photos, and save QR codes or captured images back to your library.
- Location (while using the App) — to record the precise site of a sale or installation, as described above.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the App — cloud hosting and image storage, the SMS provider that delivers your OTP, and the mobile-money provider that disburses redemption payouts. These providers may process your phone number or transaction data solely to perform their service.
- Authorities or third parties when required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above, including audit, reconciliation, and legal or regulatory requirements. We may retain certain transaction and audit records after account closure where the law requires.
6. Your rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request — including account or data deletion — contact us at the address in Section 9. We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and secure on-device storage of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The App is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
